PROVIDER CHALLENGES FCC E911 DEADLINE | Reuters

Internet phone service provider Nuvio has challenged U.S. rules
requiring it to make full 911 emergency calling services available to
customers by late November. Claiming that technological obstacles
were "nowhere near being overcome," Nuvio has asked the U.S. Court of
Appeals for the District of Columbia to hear the case and rule by
November 7 or claimed it may have to suspend service.

Will VoIP continue its growth trajectory in the enterprise, or does
it need a boost to keep going? According to research group
In-Stat/MDR, dual-mode cellular/Wi-Fi handsets will be that catalyst,
and more than 66 million of them will be deployed within the next
five years.
